-
Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dirt and grit that can scratch your finish. Use a soft brush attachment or felt tip—avoid stiff bristles.
-
Use a hardwood-safe floor cleaner and a lightly damp microfiber mop.
Avoid oil soaps, furniture polish, or products like Pledge/Old English—these can cause finish bonding issues later.
-
Add felt pads under furniture legs and replace them as they wear down. For chairs and heavy-use areas, we recommend durable pads designed for wood floors.
-
Heavy appliances can leave marks or dents when moved. Use a protective board or plywood sheet when sliding refrigerators or washers, and check for leaks regularly to prevent water damage.
-
When your floor starts showing wear, don’t wait until it turns gray or dull. A screen & coat (recoat) helps protect the finish and extend the life of your floor—typically recommended every 2–4 years.
